Noteworthy Points of the Chapter:
1. All the carbon compounds that we get from living tissues can be called biomolecules.
2. In most amino acids the substituents attached to the same ?-carbon are different.
3. The R-group is hydrogen in glycine, methyl group in alanine and hydroxymethyl group in serine.
